Grounding wire is the wire that connected to the earth, also called safety circuit. The earth is the biggest conductor with very lower electrical resistance and higher capacitance. It can attracted limitless of charge no matter how big the charge is. It can conduct the high voltage when in emergency. So, the earth is also a live line.
The EMF shielding canopy is a conductor without any charge. Once there is any electric charge from outside or any electrical shock on it, there will be electric current on the canopy. The canopy will create a circuit with the human body once being touched if there is no grounding wire to connect it. And the human body will be shocked by it. That’s very dangerous. Once the grounding wire is connected correctly, the electrical current will go through with the wire and release the charge to the earth. Then the human body is safety.
